Currently Ildiko sees psychotherapy patients in her private practice under the supervision of Dennis Facchino, Ph.D, where she works with adolescents and adults. Ildiko also works at El Camino Hospital in the Maternal outreach and mood services. (MOMS) program.

Ildiko has worked at various other settings, like Adolescent Counseling Services (ACS) in Palo Alto, CA and the Center for Healthy Development (CHD) in Santa Clara, CA. At ACS the focus is psychodynamic therapy for adolescents in a high school setting and at CHD the approach is psychoanalytic while the clientele is very diverse. CHD has an emphasis on working with parents in high conflict divorce and as such Ildiko worked with these adults but she also had individual clients that were dealing with various other issues and stages of life, as well as children.

Drawing on her experience with these varied age groups, facing different challenges at crossroads of their lives, Ildiko has extensive understanding and insight into the lives of children of both intact and broken homes, teenagers, young parents who are facing the challenges of the arrival of their first babies, women balancing work and family, parents in bitter divorces, and people who have come to a point in their lives where repeating patterns create obstacles in their self-growth and happiness.

"My orientation in psychotherapy is broadly psychodynamic, while I bring into my work my explorations of other modalities as well.

Having lived in various cultures, being in a long term marriage and being part of a complex family system, having raised my children, and stepchildren adds to my perspective on life.

While I see clients with a broad variety of issues in my private practice, I believe that because of my professional background, I can offer a new perspective in psychotherapy for people who suffer from chronic physical ailments or have developed a combination of physical and mental/emotional symptoms. I do not shy away from people with history of abuse, trauma, incurable disease or other forms of distressing pain.

I am passionate about my work as a clinician and I believe that my clients can feel that. I am looking forward to comments, questions, inquiries and referrals to my private practice.

If you are interested in my approach to psychotherapy please read my blog where I post my current thoughts on issues I find important in my therapeutic work.

When working with psychotherapy clients I do not use homeopathic remedies nor do I use my homeopathic skills. I rely on my skills as a psychotherapist."
